Critics of Kandinsky said his work was that of a madman or someone under the influence of morphine or hashish. I’ve been told similar statements on a regular basis. I am a self-taught Abstract Expressionist from New York City. From the floor of my studio comes a unique flow of line, form, and color. Everything is spontaneous. There are no studies or planning. What happens next? You’re guess is as good as mine. My works stay on the floor until I feel they’re done, only then are they brought up to eye level and really come alive. My major influences are: Kandinsky, Pollock, Gorky, Basquiat, Miro, DeKooning, Rothko, and all the music that never stops.
